Ti lath (paper back metal lath) is diamond mesh lath, regular or self-furred, to which offset asphalt saturated kraft building paper has been applied. The grade D paper typically used is water resistant, yet highly vapor permeable. Ti lath reduces moisturepenetration while allowing for the dissipation of moisture vapor from within the structure. A foundation weep screed at the bottom of all framed walls aids in the evacuation of any moisture that might reach the surface of the building paper. (Required by most codes) The offset paper, which is recessed from one end and one side and overhangs on the opposite end and side, allows the applicator to easily install this product correctly as prescribed by ASTM C1063. This specification requires that paper be ship lapped, paper-to-paper and metal-to-metal for proper installation. Ti lath is ideal for use as a base for tile and traditional stucco. The paper backing aids in plaster keying and stucco curing, protection of the sheathing during curing, and provides moderate water resistance. Self-furred Ti lath is provided with "V" groove self-furring mechanisms. |

Self-furring embossed "V" groove holds the lath away from the surface to aid in the keying of stucco to the lath. Self-Furring Metal Lath is made for masonry surfaces with hardened concrete nails and fasteners. Materials used are usually hot dipped galvanized steel sheets. Metal lath used over solid surfaces to be furred approximately inch away from the wall to allow for the proper stucco keying behind the lath. Self-furred diamond mesh lath has a surface studded in dimples or embossed āVā groove that provide the required ? inch of furring. Fastener placement should be arranged so as not to negate the furring mechanism. Self-Furred Diamond Mesh Lath is secured to masonry surfaces with hardened concrete nails and power driven fasteners at the furring dimples. Paper backed lath is often used in this type of application as a bond breaker. |

Embedded in the normal thickness of a brickwork joint, expanded metal reinforcement reduces the detrimental effects of vibration and changes of temperature. The application gives brickwork increased resistance to tensional stresses. The brickwork reinforcement (coil mesh) assists resistance to tensile stresses where settlement occurs. Easily incorporated into mortar course, coiled for ease of handing. Applications: concrete slabbing, roads, paving, foundations, marine work, bank strong rooms, partition slabs, concrete block work, asphalt guttering etc. Installation: Fix into mortar between brick courses leaving 25mm clearance from face of brickwork. All joints require an overlap of at least 75mm. The mesh can be laid every third brickwork course for most reinforcement. |
