Introduction: At first, China Abrasives Import & Export Corporation (CAEC) was set up in 1981 as the largest state-owned corporation that specialized in abrasives and abrasive products in China. Our sedimentation agent is only specialized for the silicon carbide micro-powder which has a maximum particle size of 10 &#956;m. It is a kind of non-smelly, non-toxic and non-corrosive liquid with light yellow color. It can effectively prevent such micro powders from being washed away in the acid-washing process by accelerating the sedimentation. And the sedimentation rate of the powder is about 2 cm per second. It is alkalescent and can only be used in the acid suspension that pH value is higher than 4. Also a higher than 10 °C temperature of the suspension is recommended so as to assure the activity of the agent.
