Ceramic Pall Ring
Ceramic Pall Ring is a kind of random packing further developed based on Rischig Ring, with two layers of windows opened along its tube wall. The outside diameter is equal to its height. For each layer, there are 5 ligules bending inward the axes of the ring. The open position for windows between the two layers is staggered oppositely.
Ceramic pall ring can resist high temperature.
Generally, the area for open windows occupies 30% of the total area of the tube wall. It helps vapor and liquid flow freely through these windows, making full use of the ring?s inner surface to improve distribution of vapor-liquid.
With the characters of high mechanical strength, high chemical stability, and excellent heat endurance, Ceramic Pall Ring can resist high temperature, acid (except HF), alkali, salt and various organic solvents. It's widely applied in various packing towers of desiccation, absorption, cooling, washing, and regeneration in industries of petrochemical, chemical, metallurgy, gas and oxygen generation.

PVDF PALL RING is a specialty plastic material in the fluoropolymer family; it is used generally in applications requiring the highest purity, strength, and resistance to solvents, acids, bases and heat and low smoke generation during a fire event. Compared to other fluoropolymers, it has an easier melt process because of its relatively low melting point of around 177?C.

The level of chlorine is increased from 56-57%, up to as high as 74%, although typically most commercial CPVC resins contain 63 to 69% chlorine. This increase in chlorine level raises CPVC?s maximum operating temperature to 200?F, over PVC?s maximum operating temperature of 140?F. Pall ring is the offshoot of raschig ring, the improvement was made by BASF (Badische Aniline Soda Fabric) Aktiengesellschaft in the early 1950s. Pall ring is a hollow cylindrical element of dia equal to its length while ten fingers punched from the cylinder wall extend into the interior of the packing element.
Although the pall ring has the same geometric surface area as the Raschig ring, the interior surfaces of the pall ring are much more accessible to gas and liquid flows due to the opening thru the wall.
