Species:
Brazilian Cherry, Brazilian Teak, Brazilian Walnut, Marfil, Santos Mahogany,
Golden Wood.
Drying options:
Flooring materials are available air dried or kiln dried.
2. Rough Lumber
Species:
Patagonian Cherry, Brazilian Ebony, Goncalo Alves, Lacewood, Honduran Mahogany, Santos Mahogany, Brazilian Maple, Olivewood, Bolivian Rosewood, Brazilian Teak, Brazilian Walnut.
Drying options:
Flooring materials are available air dried or kiln dried.
3. Decking
Species:
Macaranduba: A hard (four times harder than pine) and heavy wood, fast kiln-drying. It is recommended for external construction as crossties, gate and fence posts, bridges and marine piers. Also used for truck platforms. Reasonably resistant to fungus and termite attacks and very resistant to humidity. Grows alongside Ipe and Jatoba trees
Ipe: Compared to most of the woods we use, this is a very dense and hard wood. An exotic hardwood that is naturally resistant to rot and decay, it is 8 times harder than California Redwood. These trees grow to 150 ft in height with trunk diameters of 6 ft. Jatoba: Also called Brazilian Cherry, it is hard and very dense, but quite beautiful. Moderately durable, but non-durable when a high proportion of sapwood is present. Very resistant to termites and extremely resistant to preservative treatment.
4. Lumber
Species:
