[Sell] Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Plaintop 2013 VOS IT View details for: Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Plaintop 2013 VOS IT
By the time the sunburst finish finally arrived on Gibsons Les Paul Model in 1958, the guitar had already evolved through several modifications through the course of the decade, including the arrival of the Tune-o-matic bridge in 1956 and humbucking pickups in 1957. As legendary as '50s Les Pauls have become, Gibson had sold fewer of the guitar every year since 1953, the year following its introduction, when the company shipped 2,245 Les Pauls. Gibson president Ted McCarty blamed some of the models waning popularity on its flashy Goldtop finish, and attempted to bolster its appeal with an elegant and more traditional Cherry Sunburst finish. Since this finish now displayed the grain of the guitars carved maple top, Gibson also now used bookmatched"two-piece tops glued together with a center seam, giving each guitar its very own distinct look and marking the beginning of the guitar worlds fascination with figured maple tops, even though the majority of the tops used in 1958 were considered plain"when compared to the tops used one year later and beyond. The 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue from Gibsons Custom Shop presents the most accurate recreation yet available of this first incarnation of the hallowed Burst,"in a guitar that contains all the crucial ingredients, with a less showy maple top that is sometimes considered more authentic looking than those with highly detailed figuring. Also, while all Les Pauls were finished in Cherry Sunburst in 1958, these faded in greatly varying degrees, which are now accurately represented in the 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue finish selections. Available in VOS are Bourbon Burst, Faded Tobacco Burst, Iced Tea Burst, Lemon Burst, Sunrise Tea Burst and Washed Cherry Sunburst. Gloss choice is Washed Cherry Sunburst. The 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue relies on the ingredients that made the Les Paul a classic in the first place, but puts them together in the way that first began to show off what was going on underneath the finish. The Gibson Custom Shop uses a body of solid, non-weight relieved mahogany, which blends depth and richness with the snap and clarity of the maple top. The quarter-sawn mahogany neck still has a chunky, rounded '50s profile, which, in combination with the traditional long-tenon neck joint, enhances sustain and resonance as well as feeling great in the hand. In addition to these classic ingredients, the 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue also benefits from Gibson Customs 20th Anniversary Specifications, newly adopted for 2013. These include a one-piece rosewood fingerboard, Kluson? Deluxe machine heads, hot-hide glue neck fit, a Historic Truss Rod assembly with no tubing, accurate body and fingerboard binding color, new Custom Buckers created in the image of the original PAFs, and period-correct Aniline dye beneath its nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Gibson Customs new Custom Bucker accurately recreates the original PAFs of the late '50s, using Alnico III magnets and unequal turns of 42 AWG wire in each coil for that characteristic PAF bite."These pickups clean up beautifully at the guitars volume controls, while Bumble Bee tone caps assist in that warm, singing woman tone"when you roll back the tone controls. To top it all off, the 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue plays superbly right out of its Custom Shop hardshell case thanks to a trip through one of Gibsons state-of-the-art Plek machines before it leaves the Custom Shop floor. Every guitar includes a Certificate of Authenticity, an owners manual and adjustment literature. Features One-piece rosewood fingerboards Aniline Dye Kluson Deluxe machine heads Hot Hide Glue Neck Fit Custom Buckers Historic Truss Rod Assembly (no tubing) Accurate body and fingerboard binding color Whether or not you were born in 58, this is a must-have. [Sell] Gibson Custom SG Standard VOS Electric Guitar View details for: Gibson Custom SG Standard VOS Electric Guitar
The SG originally was intended as a Les Paul redesign and addressed what many considered the 2 main issues players had with the Les Paul: weight and upper fretboard access. Les Paul himself didn't like it so the Les Paul stuck to its original style and the new Les Paul design was renamed the SG Standard. Even though Les Paul didn't approve of it, countless rockers loved it and made it one of all-time hard rockin' favorites. Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series instruments, the SG Standard VOS is handcrafted for comfort and playability in the Gibson Custom Shop. The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, and a special nitrocellulose finish treatment gives it the patina of a gently aged vintage guitar. Includes Gibson Custom Shop case, and a certificate of authenticity. [Sell] Gibson Frank Zappa Roxy SG Electric Guitar View details for: Gibson Frank Zappa Roxy SG Electric Guitar
Frank Zappa has long been hailed as one of the most inventive rock guitarists ever to have graced the stage and studio. The live performances with his band The Mothers at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood from December 1973 and afterdocumented in the album Roxy & Elsewhere and on subsequent DVD releasesare often considered to display the pinnacle of his unbridled invention. The heavily modified SG Special used in those shows is an iconic instrument among Zappa fans, and now Gibson USA recreates that legendary SG in perfectly faithful detail to bring the Frank Zappa? Roxy SG to anyone seeking an extremely versatile, and superbly playable modified-vintage SG Standard. Zappas original SG Special was an early 60s model with a fast, slim neck profile and the smaller pickguard characteristic of the era, which would have been made with P-90 pickups originally. While it reflects the heavily modified state of FZs guitar, the Frank original Roxy SG still functions perfectly as a straight-up vintage-reissue SG when desired. But just flip either of the two mini-toggle switches to split the uncovered humbuckers coils, or to throw the pickups out of phase, and you leap into funky Zappa-certified tonesall aided by the highly functional Maestro-style vibrola with Lyre tailpiece. And with its natural neck and headstock, and a carefully color-matched rendition of FZs faded nitrocellulose Cherry finish, the Frank Zappa? RoxySG looks every bit as distinctive as it sounds. Body and Neck The Frank original Roxy SG begins with the same time-tested tonewoods that helped to make the SG Standard legendary in the first place. The body is crafted from solid Grade-A mahogany in the iconic double-horned style with beveled edges for enhanced playing comfort. A solid, quarter-sawn, Grade-A mahogany neck is carved in the slim early60s profile that Zappa preferred, which measures 0.775"at the 1st fret and 0.910"at the 12th, for superb speed and comfort. Its topped with a Grade-A rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays and 22 frets made from wire based on precise measurement of the jumbo frets on the original Roxy"SG. Like FZs guitar, the neck is natural mahogany, and the headstock is white. Pickups and Electronics The modified electronics on FZs original Roxy"SG were a big part of that guitars mojo, and Gibson USA goes all out to replicate that versatility in the Frank Zappa Roxy"SG. Two enhanced 57 Classics with four-conductor wiring replicate the same thick, juicy tone of the humbuckers Zappa added to his guitar. They are routed through a pair of mini-toggle switches mounted in a channel under the pickguard, to yield coil-splitting for single-coil tones, and out-of-phase tones, both of which were a big part of Zappas signature sound. The remaining control complement includes the traditional three-way toggle selector and an independent volume and tone control for each pickup. Hardware and Plastics Tremolo was a key part of FZs signature sound, and the Frank Zappa Roxy"SG is loaded with a Maestro-style vibrola with decorative Lyre tailpiece and flat bar handle to give the same creative kick to your own playing. A Tune-o-matic bridge offers precise intonation, while a set of Grover? tuners with historic rounded buttons are both efficient, and true to the look of the original guitar. The guitar carries the small erearly 60s five-ply SG pickguard with special dimensioned neck spacer to alter the position of the neck pickup to match FZs original guitar and a traditional black truss-rod cover. Case and Coverage Every Frank Zappa Roxy"SG comes protected in a black Gibson hardshell case, and includes an owners manual and adjustment literature. It also comes with Zappas last Guitar Solo recording on CD, Trance-Fusion included. FRANK ZAPPA is a registered trademark of the Zappa Family Trust. Features Super rare: Only 400 copies available worldwide Modded to match the Frank Zappa? Roxy SG Fast, slim neck profile (.775" at 1st fret to .910 at 12th fret) Two mini-to

[Sell] Gibson Custom 1956 Les Paul Goldtop 2013 VOS AG View details for: Gibson Custom 1956 Les Paul Goldtop 2013 VOS AG
The Gibson Les Paul Model as it stood in 1956 is a pure rocknroll legend, represented in greater detail than ever before in the 1956 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue. This was not quite where the Les Paul had begun, and not quite where it was going, but a powerful stop along that road that carried plenty of important features that have made this mid-'50s marvel a beloved tone machine to this very day. The guitar still retained its fat, snarling P-90 pickups and a rounded '50s neck profile that not only feels superb in the hand, but also transmits added string vibration from neck to body to enhance resonance. One of the most significant changes to the Les Paul Model of 1956, though, was the addition of the new Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiecewhich debuted on the Les Paul Custom two years beforereplacing the trapeze and wraparound tailpieces that had adorned earlier versions. The innovative Tune-o-maticalso known as the ABR-1was the brainchild of celebrated Gibson president Ted McCarty, and set the standard for simplicity and functionality in electric guitar bridge design. In addition to its foundation of a solid, lightweight mahogany body with carved maple top and a glued-in, quarter-sawn mahogany neck with long-tenon neck joint, the 1956 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue benefits from Gibson Customs 20th Anniversary Specifications, newly adopted for 2013. These include a one-piece rosewood fingerboard, Kluson? Deluxe machine heads, hot-hide neck glue, a Historic Truss Rod assembly with no tubing, accurate body and fingerboard binding color, and period-correct Goldtop and back/neck finish colors, the latter treated to Gibson Customs proprietary VOS process for a gently worn look and feel. Put it all together, and the 1956 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue is the quickest route to the look, feel, and tone of a great vintage Goldtop made nearly six decades ago. The sonic powerhouse of the 1956 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue remains its two fat single-coil P-90 pickups, beloved since the 1940s for their aggressive midrange, solid low end, and sparkling, silky highswith that ever so slightly gritty edge for added cutting power. Gibson makes its P-90s today just like it did a full 60 years ago, with two Alnico V bar magnets in each pickup and coils wound with approximately 10,000 turns of 42 AWG wire, for plenty of beef when you hit em hard, but crystalline clean tones when you back off the guitars volume controls. Bumble Bee tone caps assist in that warm, singing woman tone"when you roll back the tone controls, too. To top it all off, the 1956 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue plays superbly right out of its Custom Shop hardshell case thanks to a trip through one of Gibsons state-of-the-art Plek machines before it leaves the Custom Shop floor. Every guitar also includes a Certificate of Authenticity, an owners manual and adjustment literature. [Sell] Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Reissue 2013 Gloss FT View details for: Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Reissue 2013 Gloss FT
While all 1958-?0 Les Pauls are among the most sought-after electric guitars ever made, the ?9 Burst is often considered among aficionados to be the crme de la crme of the range. They are also exceedingly rare, with only 635 guitars shipped that year. With sales of the Les Paul declining every year since 1953, the year after its release, Gibson decided in 1958 to update the look of the model with an elegant Cherry Sunburst finish. Guitars from that first year of the Bursts production often had relatively plain maple tops, but through the course of 1959, Gibsons craftsmen built Les Pauls with tops that displayed more and more highly-figured grains, making these among the most collectible of the breed today. The 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue from Gibson Custom accurately recreates the original hallowed ?9 Burst in every detail. While the 1959 Les Paul Standard retained the classic ingredients of the breedits solid mahogany body and carved maple top, both represented here in the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissuethe guitar also evolved slightly from its specs of the previous year. Les Pauls made in 1959 also acquired a slightly thinner, though still comfortably rounded, neck profile, which many players consider the sweetest feeling neck shape of all time, along with a smaller neck heel. These are all represented with utmost accuracy in the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue, while the guitar also benefits from Gibson Customs 20th Anniversary Specifications, newly adopted for 2013. These include a one-piece rosewood fingerboard, Kluson? Deluxe machine heads, hot-hide glue neck fit, a Historic Truss Rod assembly with no tubing, accurate body and fingerboard binding color, new Custom Buckers created in the image of the original PAFs, and period-correct Aniline dye offered in VOS and Gloss. [Sell] Custom Les Paul Axcess Standard Electric Guitar View details for: Custom Les Paul Axcess Standard Electric Guitar
The Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard electric guitar carries all the elegant styling, fluid body lines, and rocking attitude of a classic Les Paul Standard from the golden era of 1958 to '60. The Les Paul Axcess Standard reveals a handful of upgrades upon closer examinationall modifications made in the name of maximum playability and versatility. While the Axcess electric guitar sports what looks from the front to be a traditional Gibson Les Paul neck joint, the neck heel and portions of the back and neck joint at the upper cutaway have been contoured to provide a "heelless" feel and an unimpeded reach right up to the 22nd fret. No more stretching against the traditional neck heel to achieve the upper-fret access that your lead style demandsthe Gibson Les Paul Axcess guitar gives you that sought-after Les Paul playability all the way up the neck, and welcomes you to take it right over the top. To further enhance playing comfort, the Gibson Les Paul guitar's smoothly carved neck joint is joined by a "belly scarf" (a.k.a. ribcage contour) that allows the body of the electric guitar to hug closely to your own body in the playing position without digging in. Add to these contours the Gibson Les Paul Axcess guitar's slightly thinner body, made from weight-relieved mahogany (with carved maple top), and you've also got a Les Paul guitar that is refreshingly light, and a pure joy to play either strapped on or seated. The Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard guitar now comes juiced with two super hot Gibson pickups, the 498T and the 496R. These forces to reckoned with pickups yield numerous tonal opportunities and can help drive your favorite amp to ultra crunch and scorching ?leads in addition to providing ballsy blues tones, warm, fluid vocal tones, snappy country, and fat ?sweet growls. Instead of just being able to split both pickups at the same time with one push/pull (like the original Gibson Les Paul Axcess configuration), you can now "split" each guitar pickup separately by pulling up either the rhythm or treble tone knob which allows you to blend "single coil" tones with full humbucking tones. This gives 2 more pickup settings than the original Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard configuration thereby providing a wider array of tones. Simply pull up the treble and/or rhythm tone control knobs to "axcess" single coil tones and experiment with combining full humbucking with single coil tones, etc.&hellip: Being a product of the Gibson Custom Shop, the Les Paul Axcess is an electric guitar built to the highest standards attainable, which include a final setup and fret dressing by the computer-controlled PLEK System. All Gibson Les Paul Standard necks receive precision fret dressing and setup with the Plek system. As the guitar lies in a cradle, a computer-controlled robot arm moves along the neck measuring each fret's height, the fingerboard radius, even the bow in the neck. Using that data, the Plek machine adjusts the truss rod, cuts the nut slots for optimal spacing and height for each string, files each fret to a hundredth of a millimeter accuracy, and then polishes the frets. [Sell] Gibson SG Supra Electric Guitar View details for: Gibson SG Supra Electric Guitar
In a world where the Les Paul players usually get to gloat over custom appointments and figured woods, the SG Supra launches double-cutaway players into the gorgeously flamed stratosphere, with a beautifully attired, custom-equipped SG that is ready to take on all comers. The SG Supra pairs an amazing Grade-AAA figured maple top and Grade-AA figured maple back beneath your choice of Antique Natural or Trans Black finish in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, along with elegant mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays and a multi-bound headstock for showpiece looks. And to make it just as hot a performer as it is a looker, the SG Supra is loaded with three of Gibson USAs most popular humbucking pickups, plus a piezo-loaded Fishman? Power Bridge? for authentic acoustic-like tones. To top it all off, unbridled playability is ensured by a sublimely comfortable yet fast neck profile, and a 24-fret fingerboard. All together, its both one of the finest looking and most versatile performing SGs to come down the pike since the iconic double-cutaway design hit the scene more than 50 years ago, ready to rule the stage and studio no matter what kind of music you play. A template of solid Grade-AAA and Grade-AA maple, top and back respectively, not only makes the SG Supra a stunner to look at, but adds a new tonal brew to the tradition, yielding clear highs, piano-like lows, and superb sustain. The glued-in neck is made from solid mahogany and carved to a rounded profile that measures .818?deep at the 1st fret and .963?at the 12th, with a 1-11/16?wide nut cut on the PLEK from sustain-enhancing Corian?. An elegant looking and superbly hard-wearing Richlite? fingerboard is loaded with 24 medium-jumbo frets, with easy reach right up to the top thanks to the SGs revolutionary asymmetrical double-cutaway body style, and dressed up with white binding and classic split-block inlays. The package is topped with an elegant headstock wrapped in five-ply binding and inlaid with a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and an abalone globe with commemorative Supra?in mother-of-pearl ribbon. In short, the visual statement is nothing less than spectacular. The SG Supra takes its firepower from a trio of ?7 Classic humbucking pickups, some of the most popular recreations of vintage PAF humbuckers available today. These great pickups use genuine Alnico II bar magnets and are wound with 42-AWG enamel-coated wire, for the characteristic blend of warmth and creaminess that made original PAFs legendary. But the sonic versatility doesnt stop here: a Fishman Power Bridge with piezo-pickup saddles accesses authentic acoustic-like tones, made all the more impressive when blended through the secret sauce of the SG Supras clever wiring setup. The controls look traditional, but hide a clever TogPot?around the three-way pickup selector, which lets you blend in the middle pickup as desired, enabling myriad sonic variations, while a Fishman-designed piezo volume control with exclusive smart switch?lurks in the position of the second tone control, and lets you blend in the acoustic tone as desired, and split your output to stereo with piezo and magnetic on separate sides (you will need a special cable that is not included to split the piezo and magnetics), or sum them in mono. To anchor it all down, Gibson USA loads in a traditional stopbar tailpiece, with a set of genuine Grover locking tuners. Add it up, and the SG Supra is undoubtedly one of the best-looking and most outrageous-sounding SGs ever created. Each guitar includes a black Gibson hardshell case, owners manual and truss rod wrench. Features Solid Grade-AAA body in with Grade-AA maple top Mahogany neck with comfortable, rounded profile Bound 24-fret Richlite fingerboard with classic split-block inlays Three ?7 Classic humbucking pickups Fishman Power Bridge with piezo-pickup saddles Grover locking tuners with 18:1 gear ratio Enjoy a vast variety of tones in a sleek package. [Sell] 24 10-Top with Pattern Thin Neck Electric Guitar View details for: 24 10-Top with Pattern Thin Neck Electric Guitar
The Custom 24 is the original PRSthe guitar Paul Reed Smith took to his first tradeshow in 1985. A perennial favorite with musicians, this 10-Top model has been updated for 2011 with V12 finish, a Pattern Thin mahogany neck, and uncovered 59/09 pickups wired for the redesigned 5-way blade switch, which offers a dual humbucker option for the first time. V12 Finish Finish should enhance the look, sound, and feel of a guitar by accentuating the wood's inherent beauty and feel without hindering its natural resonance. And PRS Guitars' new "V12" finish does just that. Introduced at Experience PRS 2010, "V12" is a very thin, hard, and clear finish that will not crack or react with thinners. After roughly 12 years in development, it is halfway between acrylic and nitro but with a classic feel all its own. "PRS models with this new finish feel like old instruments," said Paul Reed Smith. Pattern Thin Neck Shape Neck shapes have always been a high priority for PRS and a hallmark of our quality. A guitar should feel comfortable, like "home," as soon as you pick it up, and the neck is paramount to that connection. The "Pattern Thin" neck is an updated version of PRS's traditional Wide Thin neck. This new neck shape reflects modern tooling and programming that allows us to even more preciously shape and consistently reproduce our necks. Features Custom 24 Mahogany body Figured maple 10-Top Mahogany neck Pattern thin neck carve East Indian rosewood fretboard 24 frets Ivory/brown bird inlays 59/09 bridge pickup 59/09 neck pickup 5-way blade pickup switch Pickup Switching Positions: Position One: Bridge humbucker Position Two: Bridge humbucker with neck singlecoil, in parallel Position Three: Bridge and neck humbuckers Position Four: Neck singlecoil with bridge singlecoil, in parallel Position Five: Neck humbucker PRS tremolo Put this beautiful PRS in the cart!
