Brief Introduction
Recombinant human epidermal growth factor (EGF) is a micro molecule peptide with the relative molecular weight of 6.2 KDa, containing 53 amino acid residues. It is a highly efficient cell division factor. The amino acid sequence is Asn-Ser-Asp-Ser-Glu_cys_Pro-Leu-Ser-His-Asp-Gly-Tyr-Cys-Leu. The components include recombinant human epidermal growth factor lyophilized powder and protective agent.
Functions:
The bioactivity features of EGF include effectiveness to the growth and proliferation of skin, cornea, tracheal epithelium tissue in vivo, epithelial cells in human and animals, the healing process of epidermis damage on skin, cornea, etc; controlling the excretion of gastric acid and improving the biosynthesis of protein, RNA, DNA as well as metabolic activity in epidermal cells.
The further skin care actions are helpful to the nutrition absorption of epidermal cells, cell metabolism, division and proliferation; and promotion of the biosynthesis of hyaluronic acid and glycoprotein; improving cell regeneration and tissue plerosis. EGF also has the function of accelerating skin and mucous membrane wound recovery, reducing scar contracture and skin dysmorphosis. Sunscreen effect is another feature of EGF which help cell proliferating, the rebirth of cells damaged by ultraviolet ray and as to reduce pigment cells.
Application:
EGF is applied in curing burn, scald, operational and mechanical injury, skin ulcers, laser cosmetology. Meanwhile EGF is also used in the field of skin care safely and economically.
