FAQ of pad printing silicone rubber :
1.Why the silicon pad is non-durable ?
a.This problem is caused not by the liquid silicon rubber itself, but in the process of filtering, the filtering handled not properly and impurities are not all filtered out; or in the process of packing as containers not cleaned thoroughly.
b.As the silicon oil will break the molecular chain of the silicon rubber. More silicon oil added, softer the pad printing will be, meanwhile nondurable and easy ageing it will also turn to be.
c.Some customers do not know well about the performance of silicon rubber. Actually, the durability of printing pad is closely related to the size of printing pattern. Some factories do not want to take the trouble to change the printing pad. While in fact, for large pattern, large silicone pads should be used, otherwise, use small one.(Generally, the ratio of the silicone pad to printing pattern is 3:1)
2.Why the printed pattern is incomplete or not clear?
If the silicon pad is too hard while the pattern is very delicate or small, the printing patterns will be incomplete or not very clear, for in that way the silicon pad could not adsorb the printing ink from the steel plate well. If your pattern is very delicate or small, please use soft silicon pad for pad printing.
② If the percentage of water in the ink is very high, the printing pattern also will be incomplete, and spot may appeared. For this situation, please clean your ink box, or change the printing ink or Tianna water.
3. Why the silicon pad did not absorb the ink?
Any silicon pad or liquid silicon rubber could absorb ink well. If large patterns or big letters need to print, the printing pad will for sure absorb ink well. For small letters, please do not use hard silicon pad, as it could not absorb the printing ink thoroughly from the steel plate.
4. Why the silicon pad can not
transfer the printing pattern well?
It is normal phenomena that every two out of ten products have this problem if the plastic toys are not spray painted. As in the production process, mold release agent will be sprayed onto the surface of the steel plate for eevery dozen products, and there will be some mold release agent left on the surface of the first one or two product. Please use Tianna water or face-clean water to clean the products before used for pad printing.
5. Why we should add silicon oil into pad printing silicon?
Customers should change the hardness of the silicon pad according to the different patterns. Silicon oil can change the hardness and the viscosity of the liquid silicone rubber.

Product Description
Manual mold silicone is a flowable liquid, and the quality has nothing to do with the color. It consists of two components. Part A is a flowable liquid silicone rubber, part B is the curing agent. Firstly, after dealing with the original model, take some liquid silicone rubber , add 2%-3% curing agent of the amount of silicon, and mix them evenly. Then after vacuum-pumping the mixture, you can pour it into the mold frame. The silicone mold will cured in 2-3 hours.

FAQs of the manual mold silicone
1.How to deal with the bubbles during the mixing process?
It depends on your practical situation. Firstly you can deal the mixture with a vacuum machine if you have one; If no such machine, you can reduce the mixing ratio of the hardener from 4% to 1%-2%.Then in the prior period of the reaction of the mixture will be slower, then the air in the mixture will exhaust by itself for a longer curing time to release the bubble.
2. The solutions of the sticky of the silicone mold?
a.The main reason for this problem is that you do not handle the products or original molds well, then you should deal with the original mold or products carefully before molding. Such as for the products with a complicated pattern or a unsmoothed surface, you should polish and clean the products after which it will be molded ,then spray the release agent. Normally, the release agent can be Vaseline , detergent. liquid wax Etc. In practical process, you can brush different release agent according to different material.
b. The second reason is that the operator pour the silicone into the mold when the mixture is mixed evenly, then the finish silicone mold will partialy cured.
3. What should you do for deformation of the silicone mold ?
It should deal apart according to the size of the products, In principle, the hardness of the silicone should be consistent to the size of the products. For the small size products with detailed patterns, the soft silicone can be applicable which the shore A should be 15-20 for easy demoulding and not damage of the patterns. Other wise harder silicone should be needed for large size products, such as products with size 50cm will need harder silicone with 40-50 shore A , then no-deformation. If Large products but features detailed patterns then 30 shore A silicone will be workable.(The process should be a layer silicone add a layer fiber glass or cloth..).The outer of mold can be plaster, glass fiber reinforced plastic(unsaturated resin and fiber glass) to protect the products from deformation

According to the different materials, two series of mould making silicon rubber are divided, which are HY-6 and HY-7.
a. HY-6 Series includes model codes of HY-620, HY-640, HY-628, HY-638 with the hardness of 18-22 shore A, 38-42 shore A, 25-30 shore A and 35-40 shore A respectively.
HY-620 and HY-640 are particularly suitable for pouring mould.
HY-620 is for small crafts mould making, while HY-640 is for large crafts mould making. Common features of HY-620 and HY-640: light viscosity, pourable effort, good fluidity, easy-operation, good tension and high tear strength.
HY-628 and HY-638 are particularly suitable for brushing mould making.
Common features of HY-628 and HY-638: moderate viscosity, easy-operation. Agents are available if requested. It won’t affect the quality of silicon rubber but to make the operation much easier.
b. HY-7 Series includes model codes of HY-718, HY-728, HY-738 with the hardness of
15-20 shore A, 25-30 shore A and 35-38 shore A respectively.
HY-718 is a kind of soft silicon rubber and suitable for pouring mould making of small crafts.
HY7-28 with moderate viscosity is suitable for pouring mould and collapsible mould making of crafts in medium size.
HY-738 with high hardness is suitable for to collapsible mould making of crafts in large size.

FAQ of moulding silicone rubber:
1. Why could the silicone mold be reused only for a few times?
It can be due to the following reasons:
a. Adding too much silicone oil in to silicon rubber. Silicon oil is an additive which destroies the molecular weight of silicone rubber and reduce the tension and tear strength.
b. Using the silicon rubber with a high hardness to make molds for small sized products with delicate and intricate designs and the silicon rubber with a low hardness to makes molds for large sized products with simple designs.
2. Why does the silicone mold get burnt out?
This consequence happens only because you have left out the important notes when using unsaturated resin materials to produce your products. The unsaturated resin produces great heat when added the curing agent. So you must demould the product within 3 minutes to avoid this problem.
3. Why does the silicone mould appear to be dry outside but wet inside?
Because molding silicone rubber is a kind of condensation silicone rubber, which get solidified after absorbing moisture from the air. In order to provide a significant shelf-life for the silicon rubber, we will dry out the water in the silicon rubber.
Solution: Add 0.05% water into the silicon rubber and Stir over a low speed briefly when you use it.
4. Why is the tear strength of the silicone mold weak?
In order to reduce the viscosity of silicone rubber and pursue a good quality, you may add a lot of silicone oil into the silicon rubber when making molds. In fact, it might have just the opposite effect
