Woven Wire Mesh Sieve
Test sieve meshes are produced to minimal tolerances using specially designed looms, giving highly precise results for both test and production processes.
Our products are manufactured using high alloyed stainless steels, guaranteeing advanced resistance to corrosion and easy cleaning.

Half-height Wire Sieves: Available in diameters of 100, 200, 300mm and 3, 8 and 12 inches with the complete range of woven wire mesh or perforated plate sieving mediums. Half-height sieves are the same price as full-height sieves.
Perforated Plate Sieves: For aperture sizes 1mm and larger, perforated plate sieves are available in addition to the woven wire series. Commonly perforated metal sieves are supplied in round holes.
Woven Wire Sieves: Occasionally brass woven wire mesh is used in place of stainless steel woven wire mesh. Woven wire mesh is supplied with or without a reinforced backing mesh.
Laboratory Test Sieves: A test sieve is a measuring instrument and should not be maltreated. Sieves should be used with care, cleaned regularly and stored in a safe dry place. Care should be taken when sieving certain chemicals, especially hygroscopic salts, which can affect brass sieves. Always wash and dry the sieves after each test. For the sizing of substances which are liable to corrode brass, we recommend the use of stainless steel sieves. Particles should never be forced through a test sieve - even the gentle brushing of material through the finer meshes is undesirable, but this procedure is occasionally unavoidable for certain materials that are otherwise difficult to sieve.
Metal framed sieves should afterwards be rinsed thoroughly in clean water and dried quickly in a warm atmosphere. (To avoid possible mesh distortion, metal framed woven wire sieves should not be heated above 80 deg C) Sieves that have been used for wet sieving should not be allowed to dry-out before attempting to clean them.

Security Mesh
Perforated stainless steel mesh provides an impenetrable barrier for the doors. The perforated holes bring the effect of a slightly tinted window view and complete security.

There are abundant choices of patterns and hole sizes. The manufacturing capabilities include a vast array of materials – perforated aluminum, perforated stainless steel, brass, titanium, and others. Parts in coil, sheets or as completely fabricated parts can be supplied.
Material thickness:
Thinner materials typically perforate easier and faster, and are often less expensive. The right material thickness provides sufficient strength to the product while allowing the perforating of the desired hole size.
Hole size:
In general it is advisable to use a hole size larger than the metal thickness. The closer the hole size and material thickness come to a 1 to 1 ratio, the more difficult and expensive the process is. Dependent on the material type, smaller hole size to material ratios can be achieved. Contact your Sales Representative to discuss your special requirements.
Hole shape and pattern of the security mesh:
It is more economical to choose one of the available patterns, although special hole sizes and patterns can be accommodated at additional cost.

Expanded metal can be used in many metal works and it is determined from the following terms:
1. Strand: Form the sides of the expanded metal design opening
2. Bond: Where the strands intersect
3. SWD: Short Way of the Design – is the distance from the middle of the bond on one side to the middle of the bond on the opposite side.
4. LWD: Long Way of the Design – is the distance across the largest dimension measured at the center.
5. SWO: Short Way of the Opening – is the width of the opening of the shortest side of the design. SWO does not include the strand width.
6. LWO: Long Way of the Opening – is the length of the opening of the longest side of the design. LWO does not include the strand width.
7. Open Area: The total area of the design openings divided by the total area of the sheet or roll of expanded metal and is expressed as a percent.
Expanded Metal for Metal Works:
Woven wire and welded wire can be used for processing of metal works, while expanded metal mesh has its own benefits of using.
Expanded mesh can be fabricated into the designs you want to create a feel or a sense of volume in the space by using expanded metal panels as accent borders, clouds or full ceilings. Expanded mesh is simple and safe for installation.
